So the Dominaria leak gave us two very interesting pieces of information.
The first is confirmation of Goblin Warchief's introduction to Modern. This is already sweet because it allows goblins another easy route into Siege-Gang Commander in the event that Warren Instigator can't get a hit in.
The second, much more important but also more dubious, is Skirk Prospector. This little guy was mentioned in the release note for Warchief, and usually they reference cards in standard in the release notes, so I would expect either Fanatical Firerand/Rigging Runner or the better known Goblin Guide be be mentioned, so I'm assuming the little miner is coming back. While this is awesome from a goblins perspective ([card=Mogg War Marshall]Goblin Ritual[/card] is go!), it's much more important as another consistent way to play Blood Moon on turn two.
And so, I present to you, Goblin Stompy!

Convince me jund is better than storm? You're trying to compare a completely different archetype and playstyle.

jund is better than storm because storm is a metagame deck while jund can be flexible and can be built for various metagames

the issue with goblins is that it is not really built to play the long game in modern, and i don't think you solved that problem

You're right, it's not. And neither is jund. If your metagame is tron and UW you probably shouldn't be playing either. That doesn't mean that just "because it's goblins" it can't compete in a midgame. It's not eight whack. It's a stompy deck, just as skred red is, just with a more synergistic clock and the potential for more explosive early game.

skred is not a stompy deck, it is a blood moon prison deck

you don't really have the cards that a midgame goblins deck would want, mostly because they aren't legal (ringleader and matron) so you want to be more proactive and play stuff like goblin rabblemaster (which happens to really like blood moon)
