SOME IDEAS AS I READ:
Not sure about not including Arcane Blast and Missiles. Cabalist's tome is too slow, as is the amount of board clear you have. I would drop both copies of tome and Blizz. Azure Drake is a must.

The deck is crying out for a 4-drop. The conjurer has been a bit slow for me, but probably earns a place; Polymorph on the other hand is best left to being discovered. Spellslinger is an interesting choice, so get back to me how that works.

Two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.

So far I'm about 12 - 3 with this deck so it's been performing well. It is a bit slower than most other tempo builds and plays almost like a control deck at times.

Spellslinger is actually pretty good. It occasionally backfires but more often that not you can make much better use of your spell than they can of their's.

Cabalist's Tome is amazing value, but I may cut it down to one. I can see where you're coming from when you say there are too many board wipes but I've won a number of games where the opponent got cocky and over extended because I had a flamestrike waiting for them after the blizzard or something.

Ethereal Conjurer is a great tool box card and his high attack means he's at least a 2 for 1.

Yeah, traditional high tempo, tempo mage looks for the most efficient minions and spells, but if you're playing it as a control hybrid, then all of the choices seem valid in hindsight.
