Need a really nasty deck for this. Also need schemes list to go with it.

Thoughts?

Construction rules? Budget/proxies?

If you're free to do whatever, some kind of Shops/Stax variant with related artifact and planeswalker Schemes seems fun (for you) and nasty (for everyone else).

Enjoyment for everyone but still really competitive. Not crazy expensive.

So no proxies? No 4-of Nether Void?

Ok, some sort of budget-y Red Shops. I'm not at all sure about the numbers and balance between mana rocks and spells, so some goldfishing is in order.

Creatures:
4 Goblin Welder
3 Lodestone Golem
1 Steel Hellkite
2 Wurmcoil Engine
2 Sundering Titan

Other Permanents:
1 Mana Vault (Vintage - restricted)
1 Sol Ring (Vintage - restricted)
3 Voltaic Key
4 Winter Orb
2 Daretti, Scrap Savant
1 Thran Dynamo
1 Batterskull
2 Karn Liberated
2 Ugin, the Spirit Dragon

Spells:
1 All is Dust
3 Faithless Looting

Lands:
1 Buried Ruin
4 Crystal Vein
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Great Furnace
2 [card]Mishra's Factory[/card]
8 Mountain

Schemes:
2 Plots That Span Centuries
2 Perhaps You've Met My Cohort
2 Realms Befitting My Majesty
2 May Civilization Collapse
2 Embrace My Diabolical Vision
2 Every Hope Shall Vanish
2 Tooth, Claw, and Tail
2 All in Good Time
2 Introductions Are in Order
2 My Genius Knows No Bounds

EDIT:
How did I miss the "The Pieces are Coming Together" scheme? Definitely use that for an artifact deck.

What other deck do you think will be able to wreck 3 people?

Combo is probably not that fun, but maybe some kind of Grixis reanimator-control? I think the key is figuring out what cards hold their own (or maybe work better) in multiplayer formats.

No particular format.

I'm thinking of having my store throw an Archenemy tournament. I would pilot the store's deck against all comers. If they live and beat it- they get prizes. If they die but their team defeats it- they don't.

But i want something that will put up a giant fight and won't go down like a bitch.

Grixis might work well here - you can play sweepers, and mind control effects (some nice schemes here, too), topping out with Nicol Bolas and Cruel Ultimatum. I bet it would be a blast.

Actually, I might build something like that myself to play archenemy against various casual decks.

EDIT: Certainly less oppressive than ramping artifacts into Lodestone Golem + Winter Orb...

I think Grixis Bolas is the way to go here.

I think Grixis Nekusar would be better if we're talking an EDH deck. The focus on Wheel of Fortune effects will enable you to effectively a) answer three sets of hands with one via "disruption" b) incur incremental advantage as you stall out and life drain c) have a reasonable plan that puts you above most casual EDH decks without moving into broken Zur esque territory and d) provide you with access to the three most relevant card types in EDH: permanent removal, countermagic, and tutors.

UR also has a nice 1 card infinite combo you can add in if you want an outlet win con:
[card]Firemind's Foresight[/card] fetching Lightning Bolt (or other 1 mana burn spell), Reset, and Reiterate.

I went at this with just my run of the mill Miren deck and it completely dominated the group in 3 turns. Probably the least amount of fun I've ever had playing MtG. First scheme took 2 cards from their hands. Next scheme put 3 schemes into motion, two taking a card from their hand and allowing me to play it and the 3rd allowing me an extra turn. By the time they untapped for their 3rd turn they were in top deck mode. It was pretty bad.

I think some of the schemes are hard to recover from at the beginning of the game - maybe have a 3-turn grace-period for schemes?

Yeah, the deck can be made to be REALLY devastating.

That's what we decided but no one has wanted to go again since.
